Interest.com's weekly survey of major lenders, taken Nov. 18, found the average interest rate for a:
30-year, fixed-rate loan fell to 5.06% from 5.19% last week. A year ago, it was 6.33%.
15-year, fixed-rate loan fell to 4.48% from 4.61%. A year ago, it was 6.01%.
30-year, fixed-rate jumbo loan -- loans for more than $417,000 to $729,500, depending on the market -- fell to 5.95% from 6.24%. A year ago, it was 7.62%. One-year, adjustable-rate loan rose to 5.39% from 5.37%. A year ago, it was 5.78%.
Five-year, adjustable-rate loan held at 4.58% for the second week. A year ago, it was 6.18%.
